THE ART OF DOING NOTHING :)

All of us want to make it big in life. Face the mirror guys, you cool dudes and pretty girls who put up an "I don’t give a damn" mask, secretly yearn both for attention and success. Most of us want to do everything in life, and spread our hands in all directions possible. In doing so, we master, what can be reasonably called, the art of doing nothing.

The art of doing nothing should not be waved off as something superficial or baseless. Don’t addle it as a hypothetical theory to fill up the white space . The art of doing nothing or ADoNo as I would like to call it, is really deep and complex once you get to know it. You need to make everyone around you believe that you are the most fecund person on the face of this earth, when in reality, you’re doing almost nothing.
When I say “nothing”, don’t take me literally. No perfidy, this.  If you were to do nothing for a day, you’ll die of boredom {or at least slip into coma}, mark my words. You spend your day, doing things you like, the way you like them to be. So what’s the formula? Act as if you’re the jack of all trades, trying to be the master of one, but really can’t zero on which trade to go for. It is in this quest that you’re investing your valuable time, doing research.

Believe me, I’m not bluffing. This efficacious technique seems to work 8 out of ten times. This is how government officials have been surviving all this while. Though I’ll admit they’ve been way to complacent in the past decades and everyone knows how their cookies crumble. J

A promising example of adoners is students. Look at us, I mean theoretically, we spend the first 20 to 25 years of our lives studying! We all know, it’s just that one week before exams that we actually dust off our books [nerds you’re not in the race], and most of us turn out just fine. ADoNo comes naturally to us, it’s involuntary. My hypocritical friends, who would disagree right now, are requested to look deeper. Yes, I’m referring to the times when you slid that harry potter under your ncert, or faked being in school councils to get a free period; all of it , is nothing but the art of doing nothing.

But don’t go criticizing it my friends. The art of doing nothing is ecumenical. ADoNo does bring out the ‘lazy us’ out, but we always know when to draw the line. We’re Indians, the first word we learn (if not speak) is jugaad. We’re born managers! An adonor is a virtuoso managing her (pardon me, I’m a feminist!) life in a nonpareil manner and spreading happiness, within her own self and in the world around herJ.
